DUGWAY GEODES Juab County, Utah
These unusual bookends, they are made out of dugway ledge which is extremely rare to find with cavities of quartz crystal.The exterior shell, druzy and crystalline quartz-lined cavities were formed by silica-rich fluids seeping into cavities formed in the rhyolite. It is very rare for these geodes to be carved into bookends, which makes the dugway bookends extremely hard to find. They are truly exceptional pieces.
